New place

Jessie and I are loving our new apartment so far! We are unpacked and half way through decorating. There are still a few things to be done and minor things that we need (like a new TV) but for the most part we are all moved in!
I would now like to take you on a tour of our humble abode. Of course to get the full affect you would need to come see it in person (please do, we love visitors!!). But for now, this will have to do...
This is what you see when you first walk in the door. There is a coat close on the right.
Because the esctional couch (that Aunt Jerrie gave us- THANK YOU!!!) is so ginormous, we had to split it up so it would fit in the living room. We made this is our little reading corner. Notice the lamp- it's the Eiffel Tower.

Here's the view of the living/dining room from the front door. We're on the third floor so we have vaulted ceilings.

On the left is Jessie's bedroom and behind the wall is her bathroom. The door to the right is the front door. And yes, we have one pink chair that doesn't match the others. I like it that way :)

View of the kitchen from the living room.

Jessie's room is to the left. My room is the open door on the right. If you were to turn around you'd be facing the door that leads to the deck.

We have a pretty good view of Franklin/Cool Springs. Hopefully I'll be able to hang up the hammock Jeff got for me in Honduras out here.

Back inside we go. This is Jessie's room (if you couldn't tell from the Chinese fan and scrolls on her wall).
And her bathroom...
My room is a work in progress. I've decorated some but there's still lots to do.

I did however, find a headboard. And yes, I mean find. It was left by the trash compactor in our apartment complex so I took it, cleaned it off (really well, don't worry) and attached it to my bed! It's in really good shape, I don't know why anyone would just throw it away.
VoilĂ ... free headboard :)
Another view of my room.

and here's the bathroom.

So that's pretty much it. Like I said, to get the full feel for it you really need to just come visit us. Seriously.

So evident that Jessie cleaned up for these pictures.

Bill and I got our old headboard off the side of the street in NYC. We cleaned it but only later thought that dogs had probably been peeing on it! Oh, well.

Yea Jessie!! Your apartment looks so nice and so clean!! Very sophisticated and what a nice change from basement to vaulted ceilings and a deck (it is hard to be sophisticated when you live in a basement).
